JAKARTA - Red Bull has been firm in terminating the contracts of their test riders and their reserves, the Vips Jury. The decision was made in the aftermath of racist remarks made by the driver, some time ago.

The Estonian racer said racist words while playing Call of Duty which was broadcast live on the Twitch platform earlier last week. His actions were immediately investigated by Red Bull which led to the termination of cooperation.

"Following an investigation into an online incident involving Jury Vips, Oracle Red Bull Racing has terminated Jury's contract as a test and reserve driver. The team does not condone any form of racism," Red Bull said in a statement on social media.

Vips himself has admitted the mistake he made online. He immediately apologized via Instagram after his racist comments went viral.

When he was expelled from the team that overshadowed him, Vips was still ranked seventh in the F2 2022 season standings. He collected 51 points from six series that had been running.

His best achievement this season is the second podium of the Jeddah F2 Feature Race. In addition, the 21-year-old racer also managed to record two third podiums in the Bahrain and Monaco F2 Sprints, respectively.

Vips started to drop in F2 in 2020 and was also trusted to be a test and reserve driver for Scuderia Alpha Tauri, Red Bull's junior team. After this dismissal it is not yet known whether the Vips Jury career will continue or not.
