JAKARTA - The Organizing Committee for the 2022 FIBA Asia Cup has determined the number of spectators who can watch the prestigious Asian basketball championship is 75 percent of the total maximum capacity of the Istora Gelora Bung Karno, Senayan, Jakarta.

"For the event, we will definitely get 75 percent of the audience from Istora's capacity," said the Head of the 2022 FIBA Asia Cup, Junas Miradiarsyah, quoted from Antara, Thursday.

The 2022 FIBA Asia Cup will be held on July 12-24 at Istora Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta, which has a capacity of 10,000 spectators.

Junas ensured that the committee continued to apply the applicable COVID-19 health protocols recommended by the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) and the Ministry of Health. This also applies to the athletes' accommodation where all participants will be placed in the same hotel.

Ticket sales for the 2022 FIBA Asia Cup have been opened and sold at prices that vary from Rp. 230 thousand to Rp. 1 million.

Ticket prices for the group phase to the semifinals for the General Admission category are priced at Rp. 230 thousand, while Category 1 is Rp. 460 thousand. Meanwhile, for the final party, the General Admission ticket price is Rp. 575 thousand, while Category 1 is Rp. 1,150,000.

"Next week there will be a schedule of all matches released by FIBA. After that, fans can choose which matches to watch," said Junas.

"But so far, more than 85 percent of those who have bought tickets are viewers from Indonesia," he concluded.
