Erling Haaland Receives A Salary Of IDR 6.7 Billion Per Week At Manchester City, Still Losing To Ronaldo

JAKARTA — Erling Haaland received a sizable salary after joining Manchester City. He is the second highest paid striker in the English Premier League.

The 21-year-old player officially joined City on Monday, June 13. He moved from Borussia Dortmund and joined the English giants on a five-year contract until 2027.

According to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Norway international will earn £375,000 per week at City. That amount is still less than that received by Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United.

From Spotrac data and other sources, as of June 13, 2022, Ronaldo is still the highest-paid striker. The Portuguese superstar reportedly received 510,000 pounds or Rp9.1 billion per week.

Meanwhile, in third place the highest-paid attacker is Romelu Lukaku. This Belgian player receives wages from Chelsea 325,000 pounds (Rp 5.8 billion) per week.

Then Timo Werner, who is Lukaku's teammate, ranks fourth for a fee of 272,000 pounds. In fifth and sixth place previously belonged to Anthony Martial and Edinson Cavani.

However, these two players have left Manchester United. If this data is updated, then the fifth position will belong to Harry Kane, who is paid £200,000 per week by Tottenham Hotspur.

Elring Haaland's contract with City will be active as of June 1 nearest. That means the former RB Salzburg player can join Manchester City's pre-season tour.
