JAKARTA - Persib Bandung striker David da Silva admitted that he couldn't wait to appear in front of the fans or Bobotoh Persib Bandung because he had never had that moment.

He also admitted that he was getting ready for the match in a more fit condition after attending the Persib Bandung training camp for a week in Batam, Riau Islands.

"I am enthusiastic to play in front of them and they will certainly support us. They seem to be an additional player for us on the field with their support," said David da Silva at the Sidolig Field, Bandung City, West Java, Thursday.

With the bad atmosphere that will be faced in the near future, according to him, this is a driving force for his team to perform optimally. Moreover, in the inaugural match in the 2022 President's Cup, his team will face Bali United.

For this reason, he admitted that he and his teammates underwent quite a hard training in the training camp in Batam. According to him, it has built a more mature physical condition.

"I think we are close to one hundred per cent to be ready (to fight)," said David.

In addition to individual physical conditions, according to him, the training camp also has a good impact on the rhythm of the game with his teammates. In particular, he claimed to be increasingly connected with his country mate at Persib, namely Ciro Alves.

"We've gotten better, more connected to each other, understand each other and have a good connection in training," he said.

Persib Bandung is scheduled to compete against Bali United in Group C of the 2022 Presidential Cup on Sunday, June 12 at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium, Bandung City, West Java.
