JAKARTA - AC Milan is believed to be insistent on signing one player from Italy in this summer's market. This is in order to achieve the rules set regarding the squad registration limit in the Italian Serie A and Champions League.

AC Milan was given a slot of 25 players to register. However, they must present at least four original products from their academy and four players from other Italian club youth teams.

Last season, this rule was not a problem for AC Milan, but not for this season. This can not be separated from the departure of some of their players.

Reported by Calciomercato, Milan only has six players who meet the two criteria above. The seven names are Matteo Gabbia, Davide Calabria, Daniel Maldini, Tommaso Pobega, Alessandri Plizzari and Sandro Tonali.

One more slot is believed to be filled by Alessandro Florenzi. Milan is currently trying to patent the status of the player on loan from AS Roma.

So AC Milan just needs one more addition to fulfill the original Italian player rule slot. Actually there are still Antonio Mirante and Alessio Romagnoli. However, both are rumored to be leaving.

Currently, the club's management is planning to bring in several Italian players. Domenico Berardi (Sassuolo), Andrea Belotti (Torino) and Nicolo Zaniolo (AS Roma) are reportedly still on AC Milan's wanted list.
