Failed To Finish Barcelona's Moto3 Race Because He Fell At The 12th Corner, Mario Aji: There Was A Racer Who Bothered Me

JAKARTA - Indonesian racer, Mario Aji, failed to finish the Barcelona Moto3 race at the Catalunya Circuit, Sunday, June 5. He fell when the race had only been running for 8 laps.

Mario Aji, who started the race from the 19th grid, dropped five positions after the start. The Honda Team Asia racer then managed to push back to his starting position.

However, when crossing the 12th corner, Mario Aji fell. He also had to end the race faster.

"It's a shame, but I fell at Turn 12 during the race. It's difficult to accept, because I feel I have many options to be in the leading group," said Mario Aji in an official statement received by VOI.

Mario Aji admitted that he had difficulties at the beginning of the race. In fact, according to him, there are drivers who interfere.

"I got punished at the start, went wide and got other riders bothering me. After that, I tried to improve my position, riding the bike with the same lap time as the group with the points," he continued.

Mario Aji doesn't want to be disappointed. The racer fostered by the Astra Honda Racing Team wants to get up soon to face the next series of Moto3 races.

The 2022 Moto3 race will continue at the Sachsenring Circuit, Germany. The series of races will start on June 17 to June 19 next.

"Now is the time to think about the Sachsenring," said Mario Aji.
