In The Past, You Couldn't Even Buy Sushi, Now George Kambosos Promises To Hold A Luxurious Wedding Party For His Wife

JAKARTA - George Kambosos Jr. revealed that he is ready to hold a proper wedding for his wife and mother of three children, Rebecca Pereira.

The Australian boxer, who has Greek ancestry, has publicly expressed his gratitude to Pereira for the support he has given him over the past few years.

"She is my wife in my eyes and the mother of my three beautiful children, but now is the time to give her the marriage she deserves," Kambosos told the Herald Sun ahead of Saturday's fight with Devin Haney.

"Rebecca is a wonderful woman. She has supported me through the ups and downs and all the ups and downs of boxing.

"I remember how difficult it was at first. I had $50 in the bank and I couldn't even take it out for sushi, to be honest it was quite a shame."

"Now that I have enjoyed some success in boxing, I want him to have a lavish wedding for all the sacrifices he has made."

Kambosos and Bec Pereira met in 2014, when Pereira was working as a model. This woman has around 7,000 followers on Instagram but her exact occupation is unknown.

From her social media photos, it can be seen that Pereira is a person who really loves having a family. He spends a lot of time with his children.

Kambasos himself was just defeated by Devin Haney by unanimous decision. Haney dominated most of the fight, a second-round hit from Kambasos made him think, there he realized that the problem wasn't the exchange of punches, it was a matter of ingenuity and patience.

Kambosos looks so desperate, he can't cut the distance, he can't connect a combination of more than two strokes.

After 12 rounds the judges judged the fight: 116-112, 116-112 and 118-110 all for Haney. With this victory, the boxer nicknamed The Dream became the world's best lightweight in the world.
