JAKARTA – Formula E racing in Jakarta is predicted to be a challenge for all racers. This is because all the racing participants are blind about the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit (JIEC) track.

Envision Racing team racer Robin Frijns estimates that one of the obstacles is the hot weather conditions in Jakarta. This situation can create many scenarios that are difficult for drivers to predict.

For that the teams need to make extra preparations to find the right strategy to win the race.

"I think a lot of things will come into play. The temperature in the tires, the temperature in the battery and of course the energy will always play a big role," said Frijns quoted on the official Formula E website.

"So I think there are a lot of different scenarios that could happen and we need to focus on all of them," he continued.

The Formula E World Championship will make its debut in Indonesia on Saturday, June 4th. This is the ninth race of the 16 series scheduled for this season.

A total of eleven teams and 22 riders will compete for the podium. Victory is very important, especially for the top three riders on the standings, who have very small points gaps.

The leader of the standings Stoffel Vandoorne collected 111 points so far. However, he is only 12 points clear of Edoardo Mortara in second place and 16 points from Jean-Eric Vergne who fills in third place.

So far, the competition for the world title is still very tight. Moreover, there have been five different wins from the eight that have already taken place.

Frijns itself currently occupies the last position in the top five. He is 14 points adrift of third place, but only two points away from Mitch Evans who fills fourth place.
