JAKARTA - Boxer Ebanie Bridges has set a date when he hangs up his gloves. But, boxing fans need not worry just yet.

Bridges (35) is one of the most popular female boxers thanks to her fun combination of personalities. In addition to his skills in the ring, he is also known for often appearing sexy during weigh-in sessions.

The Australian boxer has developed a huge fan base over the last 12 months, particularly in England and his favorite city of Leeds.

After her dramatic victory over Maria Cecilia Roman in March, fans have been wondering when her idol will return to the ring.

Speaking to boxingnewsonline, Bridges revealed why he will be back in the ring a little longer than before.

"I'm battered in the fight against Roman, so I'll be out for a bit, otherwise I'll be fighting again in a month. It's hard to say but I might only be back in two years," he told the website.

"I know I have more support now and I can't wait to turn those who doubt into fans. You can't deny me and if you do, you know nothing about boxing."

Bridges' last four fights have all been in England, including her bantamweight title win over Roman. But the boxer nicknamed the Blonde Bomber has hinted he will fight in the United States before he retires.

"I want to fight in America again where I have a lot of fans, but I also have a huge fan base in Mexico - the majority of my followers on social media are from Mexico," Bridges explained.

"I obviously want to fight in England again but I just want to fight where the fans are. The bottom line is I'm going to fight anywhere, I just want to prepare well."
