Thailand Open 2022: Shesar Hiren Wins Over Anders Antonsen, Indonesia Passes 8 Representatives To The Last 16

JAKARTA - Representatives of Indonesia have completed the round of 32 at the Thailand Open 2022 on Wednesday night. Of the nine representatives who were revealed in this round, eight of them managed to advance to the round of 16.

Indonesian men's singles, Shesar Hiren Rhustavito closed the struggle of the Red and White team in this round. Facing Anders Antonsen at Impact Arena, Bangkok, Shesar finished the meeting with the third-ranked badminton player with a win.

In that match, Shesar Hiren, who was initially left behind, was able to turn things around through three fierce games. After going through a long duel that lasted 1 hour 17 minutes, Shesar finally won from the Danish representative with a score of 17-21, 21-19 and 21-16.

Indonesia's success was first achieved by Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan. In the men's doubles number, The Daddies also won over their opponents, Callum Hemming/Steven Stallwood.

Different things with Shesar Hiren who had to go through a long struggle to secure a ticket to the advanced round. Ahsan / Hendra actually won easily over this English representative, within 32 minutes they closed the match with a score of 21-19, 21-19.

Apart from Shesar and Ahsan/Hendra, Indonesian representatives who qualified for the round of 16 were dominated by mixed doubles, followed by men's singles and women's singles who both fielded two representatives.
