Joan Mir Has A Big Chance To Go To Repsol Honda, Alex Rins' Fate Is Actually A Big Question Mark After Suzuki Decides To Withdraw From MotoGP

JAKARTA - Suzuki has announced their plans to withdraw from MotoGP from next season. Economic factors are the cause.

However, Suzuki is still discussing the plan with Dorna Sports, always the MotoGP organizer. However, two Suzuki riders, Joan Mir and Alex Rins, have started looking for a new port.

Joan Mir doesn't seem to be bothered. The reason, he has ogled several teams. One of the most diligent is Respsol Honda.

So what about Alex Rins? Seats in the factory team are very limited. At Yamaha, it will almost certainly be filled by Fabio Quartararo and Franco Morbidelli.

KTM has clearly wanted to continue working with Miguel Oliveira and Brad Binder. While Ducati will choose between Jack Miller, Enea Bastianini and Jorge Martin as Francesco Bagnaia's companion.

The factory team seat that is most likely to be filled is Aprilia Racing. Reportedly, Aprilia is considering not using the services of Maverick Vinales again.

Another possibility is Alex Rins joining the satellite team.

The Spaniard admitted that he did not know what his fate would be next season. He left it entirely to the manager who was judged to be very busy in recent weeks.

"The rider market has changed now. Joan and I will leave Suzuki, both they left us, so we have to go elsewhere. I don't want anything bad to happen to other riders," Rins said on the official MotoGP website.

"I don't want to put a rider out of his seat, but it's a unique situation. I'm not in the position of which bike I want next year, I only have a phone on the table (to accept an offer) at the moment," he continued.
