Provisional Standings For Indonesian Medals At The SEA Games Hanoi 2021

JAKARTA – Indonesia has won three gold medals at the SEA Games Hanoi 2021. This makes the Red and White contingent sit in third place in the temporary medal standings.

The first gold medal for Indonesia was donated from the rowing sport on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. No half-hearted two gold medals were successfully won from this number.

The two gold medals from rowing were contributed by Kukan Rusmana and Ardi Isedi in the lightweight double sculls (LM2X) and Sulpianto and Memo in the double scull event.

Kakan and Ardi, who started from track 2, finished the fastest with a time of seven minutes 1.385 seconds. The Philippines finished 4.2 seconds later in second place for silver, while the bronze went to the home team. Meanwhile, Sulpianto and Memo performed well against Thailand and Vietnam.

The next gold for Indonesia comes from the sport of pencak silat. The women's fighter Riska Hermawan and Ririn Rinasih performed well to collect 9,955 points, followed by the hosts, Vietnam, who won silver and Malaysia received bronze.

Apart from the three golds, Indonesia has also produced four silver and one bronze medals. One of the silver medals was won by the Rowing Team, which was strengthened by Putri Agni Anugerah, Annisa Meilani Yahya, Maslin Efrilia and Dewi Purwanti in the women's quadruple sculls (W4X) number.

The four athletes finished second with a time of seven minutes 23.6 seconds. In this number, Vietnam won gold, while the Philippines won bronze.

In the women's coxless four (W4-), Indonesia also successfully won silver through the actions of Syvia Lisdiana/Aisah Nabial Julanti/Chelsea Corputty which recorded a time of 7 minutes 16.5 seconds.

Meanwhile, two other silver medals were obtained from the pencak silat branch in the men's team and women's singles. The men's team team, which was strengthened by Nunu Nugraha, Asep Yuldan Sani and Anggi Faisal Mubarak, lost to Thailand, while the women's singles art from Arumsari was defeated by Filipino athlete Mary Francine Padios.

The only bronze medal for Indonesia was brought home by athlete Nadya Nakhoir at the full contact number -48kg. Nadya's steps ran aground in the semifinals after losing to the deputy host Nguyen Thi Hang Nga.
