JAKARTA - Real Madrid stepped into the 2021/2022 Champions League final by getting rid of Manchester City. A 3-1 victory at the Santiago Bernabeu made Los Blancos qualify thanks to a 6-5 aggregate.

This ticket to the final made Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti make history in the Champions League.

This makes the Italian man worthy of being called the conqueror of the Champions League. According to Opta data, Carlo Ancelotti is the only coach in the history of the Champions League to reach the final five times!

Carlo Ancelotti reached the 2002/2003, 2004/2005 and 2006/2007 Champions League finals with AC Milan. Then in 2013/2014 and 2021/2022 with Real Madrid.

At AC Milan, the former Juventus and Chelsea coach managed to steal two trophies, namely in 2002/2003 and 2006/2007.

While at Real Madrid, Ancelotti won the Champions League in 2013/2004.

In the 2021/2022 season, Real Madrid will face Liverpool in the final. Carlo Ancelotti also felt very enthusiastic ahead of the meeting with the English club.

"I'm happy to be involved in another final against a great team, Liverpool. I played against them as a player and a coach. For me, it's like a derby because I'm still an Everton fan," he told the club's official website.

"I know Jurgen Klopp very well. We have crossed paths many times and have great respect for him, his coaching staff and his team."

"It will be a fantastic final between two teams with different attributes. It will be a very tight final," Carlo Ancelotti added.
