Ahead Of The Spanish MotoGP, Suzuki Ecstar's Joan Mir: The Jerez Circuit Wasn't My Best Track, But...

JAKARTA - Suzuki Ecstar racer, Joan Mir, seems to have forgotten the misfortune he experienced at the Portuguese MotoGP, last weekend. Now the focus is on achieving positive results in the Spanish MotoGP which will be held at the Jerez Circuit, 29 April - 1 May.

According to Joan Mir, despite failing to finish at the Alvagre Portimao Circuit, there are positives to take. He feels more confident with his motorbike, which he considers to be increasingly competitive.

"One week ago in Portugal I was unlucky, I ended up leaving the race due to another rider. However, on the bright side, I was not injured," said Joan Mir on the official Suzuki Ecstar website.

"The key point is that even in the face of adversity, I have a good pace and feel more confident with the GSX-RR bike every race."

"Jerez is not my best track, but I will try to get a good finish to get some points," the Spaniard continued.

The difficult character of the Jerez Circuit was also recognized by the manager of Suzuki Ecstar, Livio Suppo. He considered, Jerez is a narrow track and not easy to conquer.

However, the former Repsol Honda boss still believes Joan Mir and Alex Rins can get good results here. The reason is, the technician team has worked hard to create a competitive motorbike so that the two riders compete in the front position.
