JAKARTA - Indonesian League 1 clubs continue to wriggle in the player transfer market. They are competing to announce their new players ahead of the 2022/2023 season.

The three most recent clubs to announce their new players are PSS Sleman, PSIS Semarang, and Rans Cilegon FC. PSS Sleman itself immediately announced their three new players at once.

The three new players who were brought in were Marcho Merauje, Ibrahim Sanjaya, and Muhammad Ridwan. Previously, PSS had already recruited Fandi Eko Utomo and Hambali Tholib.

Marcho is not a foreign name in national football. He is noted to have strengthened the Indonesian national team in the 2020 AFF Cup in Singapore, then Sriwijaya FC, Madura United, and last time defended Borneo FC.

Meanwhile, Ibrahim Sanjaya, who is currently 24 years old, has previously been in uniform with Persik Kediri, Semen Padang, Persip Pekalongan, Bhayangkara FC, and Persiba Balikpapan. Then Muhammad Ridwan who played as a goalkeeper previously strengthened Madura United.

Meanwhile, the newcomer to the Indonesian League 1 next season, Rans Cilegon FC, is also very active in building their strength. Recently, the club owned by celebrity Raffi Ahmad introduced Meru Kimura.

Kimura is a player of Japanese blood. The figure who was born in Tokyo was previously recorded as strengthening PSKC Cimahi and was a dropout from the Elite Pro Bali United U-18 team.

Apart from PSS Sleman and Rans Cilegon FC, PSIS Semarang is also active in the transfer market ahead of the new season. The club's latest activity, nicknamed Laskar Mahesa Jenar, is to announce Fajar Setya Jaya as their new player.

Setya Jaya was brought in to fill the post for the goalkeeper after some time ago Joko Ribowo decided to withdraw. Last season, Setya Jaya was recorded as strengthening Persik Kediri with a total of six appearances.

The 26-year-old is no stranger to the Laskar Mahesa Jenar team. The reason is that he had previously strengthened the club in the span of 2014 to 2017 before deciding to anchor to Persiba Balikpapan in 2018 and then to Persik a year later until this season.
