Wow! All England Champion, Bagas Maulana Was Given A Bonus Of IDR 278 Million

JAKARTA - Badminton player Bagas Maulana was given a bonus of hundreds of millions of rupiah for his achievement in winning the All England 2022 with Muhammad Shohibul Fikri. The bonus was given by the Djarum Foundation as the owner of the PB Djarum club which houses the athlete.

Bagas received the bonus on Wednesday, March 20. He was given Rp. 200 million in cash, a voucher worth Rp. 50 million, and an electric motorbike which cost Rp. 28 million.

Bagas said that this appreciation from the Djarum Foundation was a real support and a form of the club's concern for the struggle of badminton athletes. For him, the bonus will be a trigger for motivation.

"Besides being happy, of course this bonus is a responsibility to be able to perform even better and gain achievements in future tournaments," said Bagas as reported by the PB Djarum website.

In addition to being a motivator for the appreciation recipients, bonuses are also considered to be able to stimulate junior badminton players. With bonuses to senior players, junior badminton players are expected to be motivated to improve their abilities for future achievements.

The chairman of PB Djarum Yoppy Rosimin said that bonuses were given to outstanding athletes not because of financial ability, but because they wanted to create a better badminton ecosystem.

"With the bonus, the competitive side of athletes from senior to junior level will increase which will ultimately have a positive impact on Indonesian badminton achievements on the world stage," he said.

Bagas and his co-stars successfully won the All England 2022 with debutant status. They brought home the title of the world's oldest event after defeating their seniors Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan in the final match.

On the way to the final, Bagas/Fikri faced a number of very difficult matches. They started by winning the civil war against the pair Pramudya Kusumawardana / Jeremiah Erich Yoche Yacob Rambitan.

Then the next victory was obtained when they met representatives of Malaysia, Ong Yew Sin / Teo Ee Yi, who are ranked 11th in the world. After that victory, Bagas/Fikri got a tougher challenge since the quarter-finals.

They will face Japan's third seed Takuro Hoki/Yugo Kobayashi in succession and the world's top seed and the world's best men's doubles, Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo/Marcus Fernaldi Gideon.
