Beat Manchester City 3-2, Liverpool Advance To FA Cup Final

JAKARTA- Liverpool beat Manchester City 3-2 in the FA Cup semifinal at Wembley Stadium, Saturday 16 April 2022.

Liverpool's first goal was obtained when the first half had only been running for 9 minutes through Ibrahima Konata. The Reds added another goal through Sadio Mane in the 17th minute. The visitors' advantage continued to grow, when Mane again broke into the City goal which was guarded by Zack Steffen in the 45th minute.

City could only attenuate the gap in the second half at minute 47' through England's Jack Grealish. Several chances afterwards that the host crows got were maximized into goals. One of them was Gabriel Jesus' golden opportunity, who failed to score after his shot was blocked by goalkeeper Alisson Becker.

City finally managed to add a goal through Bernardo Silva, who took advantage of the chaos in front of Liverpool's goal in the 90th minute.

Until the second half ended, the position remained 3-2 for Liverpool's advantage. The Reds also have the right to advance to the final against the winner between Chelsea vs Crystal Palace which is also held at Wembley on Sunday 17 April. The FA Cup final will be played at Wembley on May 14.
