JAKARTA - Pratama Arhan officially underwent his first training with his new club Tokyo Verdy. The 20-year-old is not yet at his best after undergoing a long quarantine.

Arhan actually flew to Japan on March 16 last. However, there he could not immediately join his team because he had to undergo quarantine as a traveler from abroad.

"The conditions are actually not good because of the quarantine," said Arhan, as followed on the club's YouTube channel, which is based at the Ajinomoto Stadium.

On the first day, Arhan was seen following a number of light exercise programs. Both physical exercise, jogging, and rondo with his colleagues at the end of the session.

Before training, the athlete from Blora first got acquainted with the club's coaching staff. In addition, as a new player he also greeted his teammates and introduced himself.

Assisted by a translator, Arhan looks happy to meet and chat with new friends.

Arhan says after training that he will work hard. He has a dream to break into the first team and make a big contribution.

"I'm very happy here and will work hard in the team to get in a position and play even better in order to bring Tokyo Verdy to victory and promotion to the J-League 1," he said.

Arhan is the fourth Indonesian player to experience soccer competition in Japan. Before him there were names like Ricky Yacobi, Irfan Bachdim, and Stefano Lilipaly.
