JAKARTA - UFC star Conor McGregor confused 44.9 million followers on his Instagram after uploading a photo of celebrating Mother's Day with his girlfriend, Dee Devlin.

McGregor's fans were confused because the star shared a number of photos with his girlfriend who has also become his fiancé with an unusual caption.

"Happy Mother's Day, my hot mom," he wrote in the caption.

Reported by the Daily Star, Monday, March 28, netizens responded to this statement and questioned McGregor's intentions. One person wrote: "For a moment I thought she was his real mother."

Another netizen also left a brief comment explaining their disbelief with the line “What the hell is this?”, while another user, also oblivious to the fact that the woman in the picture is McGregor's fiancé, said: "There's no way she just said her mom is hot. "Then other netizens asked in surprise, "Is this your mother or your boyfriend?"

The netizen's curiosity arose because McGregor shared seven photos of Devlin who looked sexy in pink tights and a white sleeveless top. Not only that, one of the photos also shows Devlin grabbing McGregor's hand and placing it cheekily between his thighs.

Sexy uploads and naughty poses accompanied by information from McGregor with a sexy stamp that then made his fans confused. In fact, netizens know that it is a photo of McGregor's fiancé, not his mother.

In Ireland, Mother's Day is celebrated on the fourth week of every March. This also made one McGregor fan outside Ireland confused. “Conor makes me think I missed Mother's Day,” one fan wrote.

The Notorious and Devlin first met in 2008 when the UFC fighter was 19 years old.

Now the two have been together for 14 years and in August of 2020, the couple announced their engagement.

At that time, The Notorious announced their engagement by sharing a photo of them together on Instagram. Through a written caption, McGregor hinted that Devlin was his partner.

Even though they are not married, they have three children. Their first son, Conor Jr., is 4 years old, the second is a 3-year-old girl named Croia, and their youngest child is Rian, who was born in May 2021.

Having a small, warm family, McGregor's last few months have spent more time in the magnificent house he bought in 2019. It took McGregor four years to hunt for a comfortable home which is priced around £1.6 million or Rp30 billion.

In the midst of his time with his family, McGregor also admitted that he was very excited to be able to return to the fighting arena as soon as possible. This was said because the Dublin fighter was still sidelined after breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier last July.

Earlier this month McGregor gave an update on his injury via Instagram. In the post, he said he had started practicing without any problems.

“The third day back to boxing without any problems. Soon this injury will be a distant memory in my martial arts journey."

"No one has a road without obstacles - but winning is about positivity and determination and hard work. I'm back and only getting better," said McGregor, who is expected to return to the UFC this summer.
