JAKARTA - Two Indonesian racers, Rheza Danica Ahrens and Andy Muhammad Fadly, took the podium in the first race of the ARRC 2022 Thailand series in the Asia Production (AP) 250 class.

The race which was held at the Chang Circuit, Buriram, was won by the Thai racer, Piyawat Patoomyos. Rheza Danica who defended the Astra Honda Racing Team (AHRT) finished second with a difference of 0.420 seconds.

While AM Fadly who drove the Kawasaki Manual Tech Racing Team motorbike, finished third with 0.737 seconds adrift of the winner.

From the start of the race, the three riders competed closely with a very thin distance. Rheza Danica, M Adenanta (AHRT) and AM Fadly continued to overtake each other for the leading position.

With five laps remaining in the race, Aiki Iyoshi took part in the competition. AM Fadly's teammate poked at several racers to get to the front group.

The last two laps a big change occurred in the front group. There are no names AM Fadly and Adenanta who slipped out of the top five. While Rheza Danica and Iyoshi competed in front with Reynaldo Ratukore.

Piyawat made a splash at the end of the race. He managed to poke forward to lead the race.

The incident occurred at the last corner. Three riders fell before the finish line involving Adenanta and Iyoshi.

Piyawat came out as the winner in this race, followed by Rheza Danica and AM Fadly. While positions four to six are also filled by Indonesian riders.
