JAKARTA - Barito Putera Banjarmasin moved away from the relegation zone after beating Persik Kediri with a score of 2-0 in the 32nd week of the Indonesian League 1 at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Bali, Saturday 19 March.

The winning goals for Barito Putera were scored by Rafael Silva in the seventh minute and Buyung Ismu Lessy four minutes before the game ended.

This three-point score makes Barito Putera keep his distance from the relegation zone to a difference of 5 points from Persipura Jayapura which is in 16th position with a total of 32 points, while Persik is still in 10th position with 38 points from 32 matches, according to the Indonesian League.

Persik had threatened early in the match through Ahmad Nurfiandini's efforts which goalkeeper Muhammad Riyandi could still secure, but it was Barito who managed to open the scoring when Bruno Matos' pass was completed perfectly by Rafael Silva to make it 1-0 in the seventh minute.

Rahmad Darmawan's squad again posed a threat to the Persik defense after Bruno Matos' individual action was able to end with a shot, but this time goalkeeper Dikri Yusron was able to block the ball with his feet.

The Laskar Antasari squad then threatened again through Bagas Kaffa's movement into the Persik penalty box, unfortunately the kick from the wing-back could still be countered by Dikri.

Persik had a golden opportunity to equalize after a header from Youssef Ezzejjari but Riyandi still managed to save the effort and keep Barito's 1-0 lead last until halftime.

Left behind by one goal, Persik immediately went out to attack at the beginning of the first half, unfortunately Tinga's kick ended up being countered by Riyandi's fist, while another golden opportunity was Fahmi Al Ayyubi's pull bait that Ezzejjari failed to find the net.

It was Fitra Ridwan's turn to threaten the goal from Barito Putera after being able to stab into the penalty box, but his shot was still weak so it could be secured by Riyandi.

Successfully quelling the waves of Persik attacks, Barito Putera then locked their win to 2-0 by utilizing a blunder in the opposing defense and Bruno Matos sent it to be completed by Buyung Ismu Lessy about four minutes before the dispersal of normal time.
