Boyongan To Bekasi, Atta Halilintar's Football Club Changed Its Name To Bekasi FC?

BEKASI - The Instagram account belonging to the football club AHHA PS Pati suddenly changed its name to Bekasi Keren, and wrote a description in the bio as "Official Account of Bekasi FC".

Meanwhile, the logo on the profile photo still displays a black horse's head illustration, which has been identical to the AHHA PS Pati Club logo, but is circled by the words Bekasi at the top and Football Club at the bottom.

This certainly surprised the wider community, especially Indonesian football lovers, because it was previously known that this account was the official account of the AHHA PS Pati club owned by youtuber Atta Halilintar. Previously, AHHA PS Pati was also based in Pati Regency, Central Java, and not in Bekasi.

The change in name, logo and identity seems to be a follow-up to the upload on the Instagram account of the Bekasi Mayor's Acting (Plt.) Tri Adhianto.

The account shows an upload of photos of his meeting with Atta Halilintar and Putra Siregar, the duo who own the AHHA PS Pati club, which were uploaded 19 hours ago. Tri also wrote an explanation in the caption, "Meet a cool, visionary young duo. We discussed many things, which were clearly not to build a lightning power plant" and accompanied by emoticons of a rocket that was flying.

in the comments column, Atta's official account also commented "BEKASI MEROKET," also followed by the same emoticon.

Contacted by the media separately, Tri confirmed that his meeting with Atta and Putra which was held on Friday, March 18, discussed efforts to develop football in his area. However, Tri also did not deny that the meeting also discussed the homebase of AHHA PS Pati in the next season which might move to Bekasi.

"Yes, hopefully we are visionary, we have a stadium, we want to emerge as a team that we can be proud of," said Tri.

However, Tri emphasized that they have not discussed the name of the club in a clear way, for example whether they will change to Bekasi FC, Bekasi United or something else.

So far, both Atta Halilintar, Putra Siregar and also the management of AHHA PS Pati as well as from the All Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) have not made an official statement regarding this matter.
