Persija Failed To Reach Target This Season, Ketum Jakmania: We Must Stay At The Highest Level Of Indonesian Football Competition

JAKARTA - Chairman of The Jakmania Diky Budi Ramadhan said Persija must carry out a total evaluation after failing to achieve the target of completing the 2021-2022 Indonesian League 1 at least in the top three positions.

"Hopefully Persija will move quickly to evaluate the team. Persija must remain at the highest level of the Indonesian football competition," said Diky after the "Drink Down" Discussion event held by PSSI Pers in Jakarta, Tuesday night, quoted by Antara.

The Jakmania, the man who is usually called Diky Soemarno, continued, assessing that Persija's problems arose from inside and outside the field.

From within, the "Kemayoran Tigers" supporters group, which was founded on December 19, 1997, saw that there was a wrong process so that the results of matches were often not as desired, even though Persija's individual abilities did not lose to the opposing teams.

The next problem, Persija has players with a fairly long age gap. Diky called this like "om" and "nephew". This is what he called the cause of communication does not run optimally.

Then, related to factors from outside the field, Diky felt that there were factors in decisions and management policies that did not fit.

"There is a process that doesn't take shape off the pitch so it affects the game," he said.

Therefore, The Jakmania demands accountability from both management, including Persija manager Bambang Pamungkas, as well as the coaching staff.

"When you fail to realize the target, then there must be accountability. One way is to reshuffle the team starting next season. We want the target for next season to be champions," said Diky.

After being defeated by Bali United with a score of 2-1 on Sunday, March 6, in Bali, Persija's chances of occupying the top three rankings disappeared.

Currently, the "Tiger Kemayoran" squad has 38 points from 28 matches and is in seventh place in the standings.

That is, if Persija were able to beat their final six opponents in the Indonesian League 1 this season, the total points they would achieve would only be 56.

This number cannot exceed the points of the current third-placed team, Arema FC which, until week 29, had 58 points. Bhayangkara FC also has a similar number of points in fourth place.
