JAKARTA - Bad news came from PSIS Semarang regarding the condition of their coach, Dragan Djukanovic. Had missed accompanying the team in the last four matches, Dragan's absence was later discovered because he had tested positive for COVID-19.

This was reported by the doctor of the PSIS Semarang team, I Kadek Receng. In a statement quoted from Antara, Tuesday, March 8, he said Dragan had tested positive for COVID-19 some time ago.

Although he has now been declared negative, Dragan complains that his condition is still not fully fit. Based on that, the team allowed the coach to take a break again.

"Because (Dragan Djukanovic) still has complaints, we suggest resting until he is fit," he said.

Meanwhile, Dragan himself said his decision to step aside was made for the good of the team. In fact, he himself hopes to make a full recovery.

"For the good of the team, we must step aside for a while. We hope that he will recover completely soon," said Dragan.

Despite the absence of the coach in the last few matches, PSIS itself is currently still in high spirits to continue to collect maximum points in each match it takes. Because at this time they are still stuck in the 8th position of the League 1 standings with 38 points.
