Solskjaer's Compensation Value After Being Sacked By Manchester United Revealed, Much Less Than Mourinho

JAKARTA - Manchester United (MU) announced their annual financial report recently. In the financial records, it was finally known how much compensation was paid by Manchester United to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Solskjaer was fired by Manchester United on November 21, 2021. Many have guessed the amount of compensation that the Norwegian man received.

Some say Solskjaer received money worth 7.75 million pounds (about Rp. 148.5 billion), others say the former Molde FK coach only received 7.5 million pounds (equivalent to Rp. 143.7 billion).

According to Manchester United's financial report, which was reported by the Daily Mail, Solskjaer received £7.5 million after being sacked by the club.

Overall, the coaching team who were sacked at the time received £9 million in compensation, with Solskjaer getting the majority of the funds.

The compensation received by Solskjaer is much less than that obtained by Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese manager earned £19.6 million from Manchester United in compensation after being sacked by the club's management on 18 December 2018.

The policy of Premier League clubs to fire managers or coaches sooner than the contract actually gets criticism from a number of parties, including fans. The reason, the club is considered a waste of money because they have to pay a large compensation.

The English League competition is known as "hell" for managers or coaches. Several Premier League clubs did not hesitate to immediately eject the team captain if the results were deemed unsatisfactory.
