JAKARTA - Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta admits he can't wait to see Christian Eriksen return to play ahead of his team meeting Brentford in the 26th week of the English Premier League at the Emirates Stadium, London, Saturday local time.

Quoted from the club's official website on Saturday, Arteta said Eriksen was a player who managed to do a great job in the Premier League and left a big mark when he left.

"It will be amazing (to see him back). I remember where I was when it happened (Eriksen had a heart attack) and immediately what reaction you got," explained Arteta.

"He is someone who has done very well in this country, he left a big mark when he left and he has the opportunity to come back and play."

Arteta hopes Eriksen's return to play will be accompanied by positive understanding after what happened to the player and where he was a few months ago.

According to him, this is of course a very personal thing, but Arteta thinks it will be his reaction when Eriksen returns to play and he will be delighted to see the Dane back on the pitch.

"I hope (there will be positive reception) understanding of what happened and where he was a few months ago. I really like to see that," said Arteta.

"This is obviously something very personal, but from my side, it will be the way I react to it. I would love to see him again on the football pitch."

Previously, Eriksen had suffered a heart attack and made him faint while defending Denmark in the Euro 2020 group stage against Finland on June 12 last.

What happened to Eriksen made him have to be taken to a hospital in Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen, Denmark for further treatment.

This made Eriksen unable to continue his career at Inter and in January finally decided to join English Premier League club, Brentford.
