JAKARTA – Fathur Gustafian managed to donate a fourth gold medal for Indonesia at the ISSF Grand Prix Rifle/Pistol International shooting championship.

Fathur came out as the best in the number 50 Rifle 3 Positions Men on Monday, February 14th. He scored 17 and narrowly won over Thailand's Napis Tortungpanich who made a score of 13 and went home with a silver medal.

Meanwhile, Singapore's representative Marat Lieyton Veloso took the bronze medal home.

This is Fathur's second gold in an event that is included in the International Shooting Federation (ISSF) calendar. Previously he got his first gold medal in the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team.

"I thank many parties, especially the coach. This gold is my offering for Indonesia," Fathur said in a written statement quoted by ANTARA.

This additional gold medal makes Indonesia as a whole has collected four gold, six silver and one bronze. This result makes Indonesia occupy the top position in the provision of medals.

"The gold donated by Fathur is the first for the men's three-position rifle. The score is also very thin," said Secretary General of PB Perbakin Henry Oka.

Meanwhile, in second position is occupied by Singapore. The Lion Country has so far collected four gold, two silver and six bronze.

Then Thailand followed in third place with two gold, two silver and three bronze. While Malaysia followed in fourth position, Romania in fifth place, and Bangladesh in sixth position.
