JAKARTA – Red Bull KTM driver Brad Binder succeeded in becoming the fastest after two hours of undergoing the second day of pre-season testing. The South African racer beat last season's world champion Fabio Quartararo.
Binder managed to record a best time of 1.31,814 at the peak of the time record until 11.00 WITA. This result is about 0.6 seconds faster than the best time on the first day made by Pol Espargaro.
Quartararo who is in second place is 0.006 seconds adrift of Binder. Meanwhile, Alex Rins managed to keep Suzuki's pace with a gap of 0.070 seconds from the other two riders in front to fill the third position.
The fourth position belongs to the Gresini Racing racer Enea Bastianini. Meanwhile, Aleix Espargaro from Aprilia managed to complete the top five positions, which was less than 0.1 seconds from the session leader.

The second day of testing at Mandalika went without a hitch since the morning. Unlike on Friday, February 11 yesterday, the test was stopped because the track was dirty with soil brought by rain water.
On the first day the duo Espargaro managed to top the final record time. The two brothers have an upper hand over Binder, Rins and Espargaro who have successively filled the next three spots in the top five.
The pre-season test official at Mandalika will last until Sunday, February 13 tomorrow. After that, the drivers will prepare to welcome the first grand prix of the season at Qatar's Losail International Circuit on March 6.
Mandalika will be the second series after Qatar. The race at the proud Indonesian circuit will take place on March 18-20.
