JAKARTA – The Indonesian Motor Association (IMI) has prepared two cruise ships to make the Mandalika 2022 MotoGP event a success.

Chairman of IMI Bambang Soesatyo said that the ship would later be used to carry spectators from Bali to Mandalika and vice versa.

One of the two ships is the Ro-Ro Premium cruise ship KMP Dharma Kencana VIII. The capacity of this ship reaches 600 passengers and has been used as floating accommodation for a month at the XX Papua PON event.

“Users of the Ro-Ro Premium cruise ship, KMP Dharma Kencana VIII can also get the IMI MotoGP Cruise package, 4 days 3 nights. This includes accommodation, sea transportation, land transportation, plus tickets to watch MotoGP," said Bambang on the MPR website.

This ship departed from the Pelindo Benoa port, Bali to the Pelindo Gili Mas port, Lombok, on March 18.

Viewers can use this time as a place to stay as long as it rests in the Gili harbor from March 18-20. The ship then only returned to Bali on March 21.

Meanwhile, the second ship uses a fast boat. This facility can take MotoGP spectators from Bali to Mandalika on a round trip route.

This ship takes about 80-90 minutes to sail and has a capacity of 150 passengers.

Because the Bali-Mandalika round-trip route only takes one day, the package prepared is IMI MotoGP Mandalika 'N Beyond, 4 Days 3 nights in Candidasa, Bali.

"On March 18, 2022, MotoGP spectators first check in at Candidasa Bali. On 19-20, you can watch Qualification Day and MotoGP Race Day by using a fast boat, PP from Bali to Lombok. On March 21, 2022, the audience checks out from Candidasa Bali," explained Bambang.

The 2022 Mandalika MotoGP will be the second series this season. The event will be held on March 18-20 after the first series in Qatar.

Before holding an official race, Mandalika first became a pre-season test site. The official test will be held on February 11-13 and will take place behind closed doors.
