JAKARTA – The Mandalika Circuit is now ready to hold the 2022 MotoGP. This is marked by the formation of a competition committee structure for this prestigious racing event.

The competition committee involved the Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA), the Indonesian Motor Association (IM), DZ Engineering, and Roadgrip Motorsport Indonesia.

In the structure of the Indonesian MotoGP committee, Priandhi Satria is the CEO, while Sadikin Aksa is the Chief of Racing Committee (CRC). Meanwhile, Samsul Purba holds places in the Chief of Organizing Committee (COC) and Deputy 2 Racing Committee (DRC2).

The Deputy 1 Racing Committee (DRC1) is occupied by Eddy Saputra. The Deputy for Organizing Committee (DOC) is occupied by Bram Subiandoro.

"With the formation of a racing committee structure, the functions and duties of all parties involved will be more measured. We will work hard to prioritize speed, accuracy, team cohesiveness and collaboration," said Priandhi as quoted by Antara.

Currently, the preparation of the circuit and supporting facilities has entered the final stage according to the standards set by the International Motorcycle Federation (FIM) as the regulator and Dorna Sports as the promoter.

Proof of Mandalika's readiness as a circuit ready to hold MotoGP 2022 will begin this weekend. Whether or not the Indonesian pride circuit is ready will be seen with the pre-season test which will take place on February 11-13.

"Hopefully this pre-season test can run smoothly as expected," said Priandhi.

More than 526 personnel from across the racing teams will attend the pre-season test starting Monday, February 7th. The number of personnel includes drivers, team managers, Dorna Sports, journalists and international photographers who cover the event.

The MotoGP 2022 series in Indonesia will be held on March 18-20, 2022. This is the second series after the first series this season which took place at the Losail International Circuit, Qatar.
