PBSI Holds New Tradition To Welcome New Players In Cipayung National Training

JAKARTA – The All-Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) has made a new tradition to welcome new players from Pelatnas. This is the first year the event was held by the national badminton parent.

In this event, players who have just joined can immediately blend with their seniors who previously inhabited the Cipayung National Training Center, East Jakarta.

"We hold this event to welcome and as a form of respect for PP PBSI to new athletes who join the Cipayung National Training Center. This event is also at the same time to appreciate the champions who were called back to the national training camp," said PP PBSI Daily Chair Alex Tirta in a statement received.

Through this event, PBSI asked the athletes who had just joined to work together with the coaches and administrators of PBSI. The players are expected to be focused and eager to practice in order to pursue the achievements that have been carved by their seniors.

"I remind you, joining the National Training Center is just the first step. New players have to work hard and be passionate every time they practice. I also ask that these young athletes can imitate the struggles of senior players, "said Alex.

In addition, PBSI also conducts outreach to new players. The new players began to be given performance reports during their time at Pelatnas.

Each athlete has a report card containing medical records, psychological tests, physical tests, nutrition, and progress during practice. All data included in the report card will be evaluated every month.

"This is with the hope that every time there is a shortage, it can be fixed quickly," said Alex.

However, athletes should not be reminded not to feel burdened. The most important thing for them is to have high spirits while practicing, be disciplined, maintain health, and obey the coach's directions.

A similar voice was conveyed by the Head of Binpres PP PBSI, Rionny Mainaky. His party and the coaches are ready to help and support young players to train at the National Training Center in order to achieve the best performance.

"If you want a good report card, the new players must be disciplined. The juniors must adapt quickly and the seniors can help and set a good example for their juniors," said Rionny.

In addition to welcoming new players, in the event there was a certificate presentation to the national training coach who had attended the Level 1 course from the Badminton World Federation (BWF).
