Returning To Barcelona, Adama Traore Immediately Makes A Sweet Promise

JAKARTA – Adama Traore immediately made a sweet promise after joining Barcelona from Wolverhampton Wanderers. He wants to give everything for the team and make the Blaugrana fans proud of him.

Quoting Marca, the 26-year-old player made the promise during his first press conference session after officially becoming part of the Catalunya team on loan until the end of the season and a permanent option.

“Thanks to Joan Laporta for making this happen. I will give everything so that the Barcelona fans will be proud of me. I am very happy to be back home,” said Adama Traore.

Barcelona itself is not a foreign place for Traore. He started his career as a player for Barcelona's academy, La Masia.

He entered the La Masia academy at the age of eight and studied there until he was a teenager. The stocky player even had time to defend the Barcelona senior team before starting his journey to the Premier League in 2015.

For that, Traore admitted that he was very enthusiastic about returning to his childhood club. He also can't wait to try out his new adventure with Barcelona, which is now being managed by Xavi Hernandez.

"Xavi asked me to show my skills, to dribble and face opponents in one-on-one situations. I will try to be competitive, try to win games and give everything,” said Adama Traore.

Traore's arrival is expected to bring Barcelona out of the difficulties they face in La Liga. Moreover, Barcelona is currently stuck in fifth place with a collection of 35 points or 15 points behind Real Madrid, which is the leader of the standings.

Barcelona's chance to hunt for the La Liga title this season is considered small with 17 games remaining. This situation makes Xavi also set a realistic target of getting into the top four to get a ticket to the Champions League next season.
