The minimal cost of the event, said Bamsoet, was because the production costs were shared. In addition, the event funds also did not use the previous donations.

"All costs incurred for our production are covered by the mutual cooperation of artists and art workers as well as individuals involved without disturbing the collected donations and not a penny of state funds or state budget or APBN is used in this event," said Bambang.

The president isn't involved

Bamsoet also expressed his displeasure with the name of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) being dragged into the activity. In fact, the man from Solo, Central Java, is said to have no knowledge of anything about the event, including the auction.

"Honestly, I do not feel comfortable with President Jokowi, because I asked him to. He doesn't know anything," he said.

According to him, Jokowi only intended to help the ideas of the artists that were previously conveyed to him. For this reason, Bamsoet apologized and emphasized that all these mistakes were his responsibility.

"He only helped, only wanted to help the ideas of the artists and art workers who previously came to me to come to the Head of BPIP to come to the BNPN," concluded Bamsoet.
