Four US Soldiers And Mysterious Missing Tracking Vehicles In Lithuania During Military Exercises

JAKARTA - Four US Army troops were missing in Lithuania during training. The Baltic state military and police are looking for them along with the American military,

The US embassy in Vilnius the soldiers went missing in a training area near Pabrade in eastern Lithuania near the border with Belarus. The embassy did not say when they were missing.

"The soldiers, all of them from Brigade 1, Infantry Division 3, were conducting scheduled tactical exercises at the time of the incident," he said.

"Search and rescue efforts are ongoing," the Embassy added.

Lithuania's armed forces separately said it was notified on Tuesday that four US soldiers and one tracking vehicle were missing.

"It is possible that the location of the incident has been identified and search and rescue operations are ongoing," the Lithuanian military said.
