BMKG Predicts Rain In The Majority Of Indonesia This Saturday

JAKARTA - Most parts of Indonesia experienced rain with varying intensity this Saturday, ranging from light rain to rain accompanied by lightning. This is predicted by the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG).

BMKG forecaster Sentia Arianti in a weather forecast video monitored through the BMKG YouTube channel in Jakarta, reported by ANTARA Saturday morning, said that light rain is predicted to occur in several major cities on the island of Sumatra, namely Banda Aceh, Medan, Pekanbaru, Padang, Jambi, Bengkulu, Palembang, and Pangkal Pinang. Hujan accompanied by lightning has the potential to occur in Tanjung Pinang and Bandar Lampung. On the island of Java, light rain is predicted to flush Serang, Jakarta, Bandung, and Yogyakarta. Moderate-intensity rain has the potential to occur in Semarang and Surabaya. For the islands of Bali and Nusa Tenggara, BMKG warns of potential rain accompanied by lightning and lightning in Denpasar, Mataram and Kupang.

Weather conditions on the island of Kalimantan also show the potential for light rain in several areas, such as Pontianak, Tanjung Selor, Samarinda, and Palangkaraya. Rain accompanied by lightning has the potential to occur in Banjarmasin. On the island of Sulawesi light rain is predicted to occur in Gorontalo, Palu, and Makassar. Rain with moderate intensity has the potential to occur in Manado, Mamuju, and Kendari. For eastern Indonesia, light rain has the potential to occur in Ternate, Ambon, Sorong, Manokwari, and Jayapura, rain which can be accompanied by lightning has the potential to occur in Nabire, Jayawijaya, and Merauke.
