Megawati Is Advised To Leave The Chair Of The PDI-P Chairman To Puan Or Prananda

Political communication observer at Esa Unggul University, Jamiluddin Ritonga, said that the PDI-P's internal position ahead of the 2025 congress would not be shaken by the case that ensnared Hasto Kristiyanto as long as there were still figures of Megawati Soekarnoputri.

"A great shock is actually likely to occur if Megawati doesn't exist. Each faction has the opportunity to control PDIP, it will be very big," he said, Sunday, December 29, 2024.

According to him, there will be no significant shock within the PDIP after the determination of Hasto Kristiyanto as a suspect by the KPK. The reason is, the factions within the PDIP will not dare to interfere as long as Megawati is still there.

That's why every PDIP Congress always appears Megawati's name as the sole candidate for chairman. Because, until now only Megawati is considered to be able to bridge and accommodate the interests of various factions in the PDIP," explained Jamil.

He argues, to avoid severe shocks at the 2025 congress, Megawati should hand over the chair of the PDIP chairman to Puan Maharani or Prananda Prabowo who is also Megawati's child.

This is so that the leadership relay at PDIP will run smoothly, considering that each faction will not dare to reject Megawati's choice. If this happens, then the existence of PDIP will also be maintained.

"External parties will not be able to shake up PDIP. Even if there is, it is just like a wind. This of course cannot enliven the PDIP," said Jamil.
