Rejang Lebong Regency Government Ready To Supply The Needs Of Prabowo Subianto's Free Nutrition Eating Program

Head of the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries (Distankan) Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province, Amrul Eby stated that this area is ready to supply free nutritious food program needs for school children initiated by President Prabowo Subianto.

Amrul said that Rejang Lebong Regency has now been designated by the Ministry of Agriculture as a horticultural center in Bengkulu Province and other nearby areas.

"Rejang Lebong Regency is ready to supply the needs of a nutritious lunch program which is President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka's flagship program," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, December 14.

Amrul explained that a number of sub-districts in Rejang Lebong Regency have been known as producers of various types of vegetables and fruits, with their harvest to meet their needs in cities/districts in Bengkulu Province, then Palembang (South Sumatra/South Sumatra), Jambi to Bangka Belitung (Babel).

Some of the sub-districts that produce various vegetables, he said, are mostly in Selupu Rejang District, Sindang Kelingi, East Curup District, South Curup, and several other sub-districts.

"Rejang Lebong Regency is ready to become a food barn. In 2025, our main focus will be to increase production results in order to make food self-sufficiency successful," he said again.

As for fruit producers, such as oranges, strawberries, bananas in Selupu Rejang, Sindang Kelingi, Sindang Plateau and Bermani Ulu Raya Districts, South Curup, East Curup, and North Curup.

Meanwhile, durian fruit comes from five sub-districts in Lembak, such as Padang City, Padang Ulak Tanding, Sindang Beliti Ilir, Sindang Beliti Ulu, and Binduriang.

In addition, Rejang Lebong Regency has also produced corn, nutmeg and rice crops, especially in the South Curup District, Curup District, North Curup, East Curup, Selupu Rejang, Sindang Kelingi, Bermani Ulu, Bermani Ulu Raya and the City of Padang and Padang Ulak Tanding areas.
