Teenage Girls In Bogor Experience Gender Change, Now Identity Confusion

A 14-year-old TA girl from Cibungbulang District, Bogor Regency, West Java experienced a change in gender (Ist)

This story begins in October 2024, when TA, who has never had a period, begins to feel strange about his body. His mother's suspicions, Sukarsih, peaked when they took a bath together and found surprising changes to TA's genitals.

"I was shocked, I called a neighbor, why did my child change like that?" said Sukarsih in one of the national television interviews

This change prompted TA to check with the puskesmas, which then referred him to a large hospital in Bogor Regency. After a series of examinations, doctors advised TA to undergo genital replacement surgery in Jakarta. However, the limited cost of making the operation cannot be carried out until now.

Sukarsih also shared that before this change, TA had preferred to play with male friends and often played football, different from girls in general. This condition makes Sukarsih feel sad and confused by changes in the identity of his son. Local Police Assistance pays attention to this case. The Head of Cibungbulang Police, Kompol Heri Hermawan, together with the Bogor Police Urkes, accompanied TA and Sukarsih to carry out a blood check at the Bogor Police Hospitalization Pratama Clinic.

"Hasilnya belum ada, baru cek darah. Kami mendampingi," kata Kompol Heri.
