DKI Jakarta UMP 2025 Increases 6.5 Percent To IDR 5.396 Million

"The determination of the DKI Jakarta UMP 2025 is carried out with an increase of 6.5 percent. This amount is set at IDR 5,396,761," said Teguh in Central Jakarta, Wednesday, December 11.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) has set this increase based on the formula regulated in the Minister of Manpower Regulation (Permenaker) Number 16 of 2024 concerning the Determination of Minimum Wage in 2025.

Previously, a meeting with the Regional Wage Council and various related parties had been held on 9-10 December 2024 to discuss this increase.

"Yesterday I signed the governor's decision. This UMP applies to workers or laborers with a working period of less than one year," said Teguh.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Agency (Nakertransgi), Hari Nugroho, stated that the UMP discussion includes considerations of the welfare of workers as well as business sustainability in various sectors.

Hari menegaskan pentingnya memastikan kenaikan UMP ini sesuai kebutuhan pekerja, tanpa mengabaikan daya saing ekonomi.

“Kami akan memerinci implementasi kenaikan 6,5 persen ini berdasarkan petunjuk teknis yang diatur dalam Permenaker,” jelas Hari.

He also hopes that the increase in the UMP can have a positive impact, both on the purchasing power of workers and business continuity in the capital city. "With this step, the government shows a commitment to improve workers' welfare while at the same time encouraging regional economic growth," concluded Hari.
