11 Homestays At The Harau Tourism Location In West Sumatra Allegedly The Result Of Corruption Confiscated By The Riau Police

RIAU - The Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the Riau Police confiscated 11 inns or homestays at the Harau Tourism Place, Jorong Padang Torok, Harau District, Limapuluh Kota Regency, West Sumatra.

Riau Police Criminal Investigation Director Kombes Nasriadi said the inn was suspected to have been the result of a criminal act of corruption at the Riau Provincial DPRD Council Secretariat which is being investigated.

The Inn is called 'Sabaleh Homestay' which stands on an area of 1,206 square meters.

"Each of these lodging units belongs to individuals who are state civil servants and officials at the Riau DPRD Setwan for 2020-2021," Nasriadi said when confirmed, Antara, Monday, December 9.

Prior to the confiscation of this asset, his party had first confiscated a land certificate document belonging to Irwan Suryadi. The land was recognized as being purchased from the results of the search for accountability for official travel outside the fictitious area at Setwan Riau for the 2020-2021 fiscal year.

"The total value of the assets confiscated this time is worth approximately Rp. 2 billion, in connection with the alleged corruption in official travel outside the fictitious region at the Riau DPRD Secretariat from the 2020 and 2021 APBDs," he added.

Previously, the Riau Police Ditreskrimsus had also confiscated an apartment related to this case which was at the Nagoya City Walk Complex, Northwalk A No.1 Lubuk Baja, Batam City, Riau Islands, Tuesday (26/11).

There are four apartment units that were sealed by the police, namely the ownership of Muflihun, Mira Susanti, Teddy Kurniawan, and Irwan Suryadi. The four apartments were purchased in 2020. The total value of the assets confiscated by the Riau Police Ditreskrimsus in the Riau Islands is worth Rp. 2.1 billion.
