Instead Of Repentance, The Recidivist Of Drug Cases In Tabalong Was Arrested By The Police For The Same Case

The Tabalong Police, South Kalimantan, named AR (33) as a suspect in a drug trafficking case. The suspect is a recidivist of the same case. Officers arrested AR along with evidence of methamphetamine as much as a package weighing 45.82 grams which was found in a cupboard during a search at the suspect's house.

"On the findings of the evidence, AR, we brought it to the Resort Police for examination until the status of a suspect was determined because the illicit goods were admitted to him," said Head of Public Relations of the Tabalong Police, Iptu Joko Sutrisno in Tanjung, Tabalong Regency, Antara, Sunday, December 8.

Joko said investigators from the Tabalong Police Narcotics Unit charged the suspect with Article 114 paragraph (2) or Article 112 paragraph (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.

Currently, the suspect is undergoing detention at the Tabalong Police Detention Center with evidence of methamphetamine, two digital scales, four plastic clips, one notebook, one box containing a glass pipette, and one unit of a red passenger car.

AR's arrest was made by officers on Thursday (5/12) morning, led directly by the Head of Drugs at the Tabalong Police, AKP Abdullah. AR was arrested on his way home from Banjarmasin and stopped by his sister's house, which is located at a housing complex in Mabuun Village, Murung Pudak District, Tabalong Regency.

Meanwhile, the suspect's house is known to be in Wirang Village, Haruai District, Tabalong Regency, and evidence was found in the house.

"We succeeded in this case of illicit trafficking of methamphetamine-type narcotics because of reports from the public who were suspicious around AR's house that there were frequent methamphetamine transactions, and the suspect had previously served a prison sentence in Banjarbaru," said Head of Public Relations representing Tabalong Police Chief AKBP Wahyu Ismoyo.
