Sunday Afternoon, KPU Sets Results Of The 2024 Jakarta Gubernatorial Election Vote Recapitulation

JAKARTA - The Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU) will determine the results of the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election vote recapitulation today, Sunday 8 December, at 13.00 WIB. The statement was made by a member of the Jakarta KPU, Technical Division, Dody Wijaya, after the provincial-level vote recapitulation which took place at the Sari Pan Pacific Hotel, Central Jakarta, on Saturday night.

"KPUD Jakarta has completed the stages of reading the recapitulation of vote results from six districts/cities. Tomorrow it will be followed by the determination of the recapitulation results, as well as the reading of the Jakarta KPUD's decision regarding the determination of the results of the election for governors and deputy governors, which also applies as announcements," he explained.

In an open plenary meeting of provincial-level vote count, there were no witnesses from the pair of candidates who rejected the results of the vote count that had been announced.

After the Jakarta KPU determined the results of the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election vote recapitulation, the pair of candidates for governor and deputy governor of Jakarta had the opportunity to file a dispute regarding the election results to the Constitutional Court (MK).

Dody Wijaya also added that the Jakarta KPU had prepared everything related to the possibility of regional election disputes at the Constitutional Court.

"We are ready in terms of data and administration. We have prepared everything well," he said.

The preparations include collecting important documents, such as the distributed C-6.

"We have collected all the documents, and we are ready to apply the principle of accountability in the implementation of the regional elections," he concluded, giving a KPU statement regarding the determination of the results of the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election.
