Israel Returns To School Bombings In Gaza, Injures And Kills Dozens Of People

JAKARTA - The Israeli army on Saturday again bombed a UN affiliated school in northern Gaza where thousands of civilians were displaced, killing and injuring dozens of people, as Palestinian medical and local sources reported it was difficult to move bodies and move injured victims for treatment.

Dozens of Palestinians were killed or injured after Israel bombed the Al-Fakhoura School in Jabalia, north of Gaza, which is affiliated with the United Nations Agency for Assistance and Works for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA). Quoting Antara, Sunday.

Palestinian medical and local sources told Anadolu that "the bodies of the martyrs cover the school's corridors."

They revealed the difficulty of evacuating the injured and dead from the building, whereas this is where thousands of civilian refugees took refuge.

On the same day, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry said Israel was "demonstracting massacres in the Gaza Strip, the most recent of which was the Al-Fakhoura School."

To Anadolu, the ministry said, "We strongly condemn the continued mass massacre of Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip, the latest of which was the heinous massacre at Al-Fakhoura School which was full of people forced to flee."

"We consider this as new evidence proving that Israel's war on Palestinian civilians aims to empty the entire northern Gaza Strip region of Palestinians," the ministry said.

"The slaughter targeting UNRWA schools, occupation forces insulted the international community and the United Nations, and considered the wind to be all of the international community's ineffective demands calling for the protection of civilians."

Since Israel bombarded Gaza on October 7, more than 12 thousand Palestinians have been killed, including 8,300 women and children, and more than 30 thousand others injured.

Thousands of buildings, including hospitals, mosques and churches in Gaza, were damaged or destroyed.

Israel's blockade has cut off supplies of fuel, electricity and water to Gaza and reduced humanitarian aid.

Meanwhile, the number of deaths in Israel stands at 1,200.
