Jokowi Embraces Palestinian President And Delivers Deep Concern

JAKARTA - Indonesian President Joko Widodo expressed his deep concern to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas for the events that occurred in Palestine. The president conveyed this while embracing his sadness towards Abbas.

The Extraordinary OIC Summit was held in response to the crisis situation in Gaza, Palestine, due to the brutal aggression of Israel.

Presiden Jokowi, sebelum berangkat ke Riyadh, Arab Saudi, dari Sidoarjo, Jawa Timur, Jumat (10/11) malam, mengatakan KTT Luar biasa OKI sangat penting sebagai upaya tambahan untuk menghentikan serangan Israel terhadap bangsa Palestina.

At the Extraordinary OIC Summit, Jokowi said he would reinforce calls for a ceasefire to be implemented and humanitarian aid could be enlarged.

Jokowi arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Saturday, at 04.40 local time, after traveling for approximately 11 hours from Indonesia.

After leaving Riyadh, President Jokowi will continue his trip to Washington DC, United States, on November 12, 2023 to meet with US President Joe Biden.

Jokowi will use bilateral meetings with Joe Biden to voice Indonesia's firm position regarding Gaza, a conflict area in Palestine.

"This visit (meeting with Joe Biden) is a good opportunity to convey the results of the OKI Summit in Riyadh, which reflects the solidarity of OIC countries to defend justice and humanity," said President Jokowi.
