The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said that the expansion of rain was due to significant cloud growth. "Based on satellite imagery analysis, there was significant cloud growth," said BMKG forecaster Clara Avilia Dea in a statement quoted in Jakarta, Saturday. The cloud growth area extends in parts of northern to central Sumatra, West Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, parts of Banten, West Java, Central Java, and East Java as well as West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, then parts of northern to central Sulawesi, Maluku, and also Papua. High wave forecasts are found in the Indian Ocean south of East Java ranging from 2.5 to 4 meters. Meanwhile, the air temperatures in big cities in Indonesia range from 17 to 35 degrees Celsius with humidity ranging from 45 to 100 percent. Clara said that the areas of Sumatra Island that were rained with light intensity up to Padang, Bengkulu, Pangkal Pinang, Pekanbaru, and Tanjung Pinang.

Cloudy skies are predicted to only cover the city of Banda Aceh, while cloudy skies are only in Bandar Lampung. Beware of rain accompanied by lightning in the cities of Jambi and Palembang. Switching to Java, light to moderate rain is predicted to fall in Serang, Bandung, and Semarang. Cloudy sunny weather has the potential to occur in Yogyakarta and Surabaya.
