Give False Information About Celine Evangelista, Amelia Sabara Can Be Sued For Defamation

JAKARTA - The name of celebrity Celine Evangelista appeared in the testimony of the defendant in the alleged mining corruption case at PT Antam WIUP, Mandiano Block, North Konawe (Konut), Southeast Sulawesi, Amelia Sabara. It cannot be a legal fact if all of these things are not there," said Fickar to reporters, Monday, October 30, 2023 in Jakarta.

He also added that Celine could sue back by criminalizing Amelia Sabara. "If the statement is not proven, then Amelia can be prosecuted as a criminal act for providing false information on defamation," he said.

Likewise, former Chairman of the Prosecutor's Commission (Komjak) Kamilov Sagala assessed that there are parties who want to hinder the legal process in the alleged corruption case of the Mandiodo Block Mining Business Permit (IUP) area, Southeast Sulawesi.

This was said by Kamilov regarding the statement in the trial of the defendant case broker Amelia Sabara who said that there was a close relationship between Attorney General ST Burhanuddin and celebrity Celine Evangelista who was presented as a witness at that time.

"This is a big case in the mining sector, people understand that mining license owners are of course business people who have networking from all sides of good influence from the black political line," said Kamilov.

According to him, there are parties who are not happy with the law enforcement that is straight by the Attorney General's Office, trying to hinder the process of handling the case.

"Law enforcers who do not like the line to be upright, so that efforts to undermine the power of the disclosure of this case continue to be tried by those who do not want their crimes to open," he said.
