FX Rudy Ensures PDIP Controls Jokowi Until He Is Completed, Denies Internal Tensions

Surakarta City PDI-P DPC Chairman FX Hadi Rudyatmo said his party would escort President Joko Widodo until his position was completed in 2024.

This commitment is in accordance with the direction of the Chairperson of the PDI-P Megawati Soekarnoputri.

"Mrs. Mega is wise and wise. Because Mr. Jokowi is still a member of the PDI-P, yes, he (Megawati) asked him to escort Jokowi until he finished, because he was the one who nominated (Jokowi) first," said Rudy, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, October 26.

He also denied that Megawati and Jokowi had a bad relationship, even though Jokowi's eldest son who is also the Mayor of Surakarta, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, ran for the vice presidential candidate to accompany Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 presidential election.

"Nggakubu-kubuan, there is no opposite," added Rudy.

Rudy admitted that he last met Megawati and Jokowi during the PDI-P National Working Meeting (Rakernas) last September.

"Lastly, I met him at the National Working Meeting. Mrs. Mega took the stairs down with Mr. Ganjar and Mr. Jokowi. This means that there is no rift between Mr. Jokowi and Mrs. Mega. After that, I haven't met you again. The rest I don't understand," said Rudy.
