Idrus Marham Talks About The Reason Gibran Was Chosen To Be Prabowo's Vice Presidential Candidate, Asks For The Status Of The President's Son To Be Forgotten

JAKARTA - Bappilu's adviser to the Golkar Party, Idrus Marham, revealed the reason for choosing the mayor of Solo who is also the eldest son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Gibran Rakabuming as a vice presidential candidate who was promoted by his party to accompany Prabowo Subianto.

According to Idrus, Gibran was chosen to inspire young people to dare to take part in national leadership.

"Mas Gibran became Prabowo's vice presidential candidate after going through the organizational mechanism process and it was decided by the Golkar national committee. It is hoped that this will inspire the birth of young leaders," said Idrus at the Golkar DPP, Tuesday, October 24.

"The Golkar Party believes that our hope is that Mas Gibran will be an inspiration for young leaders," he continued.

Idrus then invited everyone to forget that Gibran was the president's son. But more attention is on the young generation having to appear and dare to take risks.

"Let's forget that Mas Gibran is the president's son. We put forward Mas Gibran can become a young generation who appears with all the risks of wanting to inspire the birth of young leaders and of course process, at least now, we want to go forward, whoever among us is young people who have the courage, not the president's children, but we can all do it," said Idrus.

"And it must be processed. Nothing was born just like that," he added.

Idrus menuturkan, Bappilu Golkar akan mengumpulkan data-data sebaran pemilih muda yang akan didiskusikan setiap dua minggu sekali. Hal tersebut dilakukan untuk dijadikan bukti bahwa ada respons positif terhadap pencalonan Gibran sebagai generasi muda.

"Golkar once again wants to nominate Mas Gibran for inspiration for young people. What will they respond to? Well, this is Golkar's gamble here. The more we respond, we show the evidence and thus we believe they will become Golkar voters. The vote acquisition for the Golkar Party will increase, so that the position is still in the next two," he concluded.
