MAMUJU - The Special Criminal Directorate of the West Sulawesi Police has detained three suspects in the alleged corruption of the Solar Power Plant (PLTS) project in Kinatang Village, Mamuju Regency, West Sulawesi.

Head of Sub-Directorate III of the Sulawesi Police Ditkrimsus Ditkrimsus AKBP Hengky KAbadi said the three suspects detained were AES (56), DNTA (35), and AT (44).

"The three suspects detained related to the alleged corruption of the PLTS project in Salumayang Hamlet, Kinatang Village, Bonehau District, Mamuju Regency, are state civil servants (ASN)," said Hengky, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, October 23.

The detention of the three suspects, he said, was a follow-up to the development of the PLTS job irregularities case. "The detention carried out is a follow-up to the development of the PLTS job irregularities case. Previously, the three of them have been detained at the West Sulawesi Police Headquarters," he said.

The three suspects were charged with Article 2 paragraph (1) or Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law Number 20/2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31/1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption.

"The basis for detention of the three suspects is Police Report Number: LP/A/26/II/2022/SPKT.Ditkrimsus/Polda West Sulawesi on February 15, 2022," he said.

Previously, the Head of Public Relations of the West Sulawesi Police, Kombes Syamsu Ridwan, said that the PLTS project in Salumayang Hamlet, Kinatang Village, Bonehau District, Mamuju Regency, West Sulawesi, was through the ESDM Office of West Sulawesi Province 2018 with a contract value of IDR 2.2 billion.

The alleged corruption of the PLTS project, he said, was because the planning of the activities was not actually made. Where in the planning document it is explained that there are 36 residential units and one church.

But in fact, in Salumayang Hamlet there are only 12 housing units and one church that has been built.

"This is the origin of the process of implementing activities not carried out in accordance with the contracts and the RAB of activities so that based on the calculation of state losses there is a deviation that causes state losses of Rp. 322 million," he explained.
