The ranks of the Banjarmasin Tengah Police, South Kalimantan (Kalsel), revealed the motive for the premeditated murder by carrying out 32 reconstructions or re-enactments of scenes in Banjarmasin City.

"The image of this case is clearly open after we did 32 re-enactments of the scene, the perpetrator has a plan to kill the victim because the victim often disturbs the perpetrator's ex-wife," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Central Banjarmasin Police, Iptu Hendra Agustian Ginting, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, October 20.

He mentioned that the main actor with the initials GHA (38), then the second perpetrator with the initials AR (42) played a role in helping the main perpetrator escape by facilitating motorcycles.

"Personnel arrested the perpetrators when they planned to flee to East Kalimantan, for 12 days the personnel were hunting for the two perpetrators who had moved locations three times," he said.

Police arrested the two perpetrators while hiding in a house on Jalan Tangkawang Baru, Bawangan District, Tapin Regency, South Kalimantan, on Thursday (21/9) then around 01:45 WITA.

At that time, the perpetrator conveyed the reason for killing because he was hurt because his ex-wife was often contacted by the victim.

Meanwhile, evidence of sharp weapons was found in different locations.

Hendra explained that the premeditated murder of the victim with the initials AB took place on Jalan Pangeran Antasari, Sampurna Gang, Kelayan Luar Village, Central Banjarmasin, Banjarmasin City, last Saturday (9/9) at around 19:10 WITA.

Based on the testimony of a witness at the crime scene (TKP), the perpetrator and the victim were involved in a fight, but the perpetrator, who was under the influence of alcohol using a sharp machete, resulted in serious injuries to the back of the head and ears.

Then the witness reported the incident to the Central Banjarmasin Police Headquarters after three hours of the incident, personnel headed to the location and found a black racket sarong, machete sarong, and the condition of the crime scene covered in blood. Meanwhile, the victim had previously been evacuated by volunteers to a local hospital.

Police tried to find information on the whereabouts of the perpetrators, but local residents said they did not know where the perpetrators had fled.

The main perpetrators, namely GHA, were charged with premeditated murder, namely Article 338 in conjunction with Article 340 and Article 351 paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code, while the second perpetrator, AR, was charged with Article 56 of the Criminal Code for providing assistance to GHA to escape.

"We are re-rekating this scene to reveal the actual incident at the TKP, including revealing the reason the perpetrator had the heart to kill the victim," said Hendra.
